Riding family from Savannah to Niagara Falls

Distance: 1.600 km
Nr of days: 8
Year: 2015

Can you introduce in few words every single person of the "crew"?
The “HeritageMotoRiders” crew is our family of six:
Kevin Heritage, Sr. is passing on his love of motorcycles to the rest of the family. He’s an engineer, can fix anything on two or four wheels, and has been riding motorcycles since age of 18. His first bike was 1974 Honda CB360. He is the coolest dad ever.
Kay keeps us all sane. She multi-tasks as an amazing wife/mom, family photographer, a fabulous cook, and coordinator for family projects.
Anna is attending college, working at a law firm, and currently rides a 1969 Honda CL350 Scrambler. She loves connecting with people, (like mother like daughter) so it’s only fitting Anna and mom run the social media for HeritageMotoRiders.
Kevin Heritage is in high school. He is applying to colleges and stays busy with running, and skateboarding. Kevin is also an amazing cellist.
Christian is in high school as well. He is a talented artist and loves to surf and skateboard
John Harvard is in grade school. He plays chess, any team sport possible, and talks a LOT. John also loves to take iPhone pictures on family motorcycle trips

As the majority of you ride a Honda bike I believe there is something Special about the brand and the specific type, can u "confess";)?
It’s true, we love Honda! A 1974 Honda CB360 was Dad’s first bike, which he bought when he was in the Navy at age 18. We all love the styling of vintage motorcycles, in general. We also have a BMW R1150 GSA, Kawasaki W650, and, of course, the Honda CL350 which Dad built from a bare frame.

Tell us more about the journey...We will be taking the trip to Niagara Falls in June 2015. Dad is planning our route with lots of backroads in mind! The Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Parkway are a few places we plan to pass through. Here is a Google map rough draft of the route ( see below). We’d love to share any travel tips we accumulate afterward! Although Dad is a road trip veteran, this is new for the rest of the family. We will be learning a lot on this trip. What do you expect from the places you will cross and visit ?
There are some amazing motorcycle communities on our way to the FAlls. We're super excited to meet up with friends along the way.

What cannot miss in you trunk? And in the ones of your group? We travel light on bikes, but always have our Nikon camera or iPhone for taking photos with us. Of course, Anna can’t seem to leave the house without her American flag helmet and Texas cowboy boots

What do you think you will do differently after this family experience? The kids will be more experienced riders and there will be some crazy fun stories to share. Depending on how this trip goes, we hope to plan a longer cross-country trip. Maybe Georgia to California? We'll see!
